Vacation and school

Last week I took a week off from work to mentally prepare myself for going back to school, which started this week. I didn’t do anything spectacular for vacation, other than staying home and doing a bit of cleaning. The heat wave we’ve been having kept me inside most days, where I would plop down in front of the air conditioner and try to relax. It wasn’t all idle laziness however. I also managed to make some homemade chili and a couple loaves of bread.
Recently, I picked up some silicone bread pans and wanted to try them out. It turns out they do the job very well. To get the bread out of the pan is just a matter of pushing the bottom. The pan didn’t need any preparation and the bread didn’t stick to it. It was almost magical when compared to other bread pans I’ve tried.
This week I’ve been catching up with work, and checking Canvas for the online class discussions. It’s the first week of the semester in an online class, so all we really have going on is introductions and trying to find study partners. This semester I’m taking Adult Learning Throughout the Lifespan and Analysis for Instructional Performance. Going by their syllabi, it looks like it will be an interesting semester.
