Electronic Lover at Rotten Tomatoes
Electronic Lover at IMDB

Rating: ★★★☆☆

Two things: First, this had to have the cheapest set ever. I’m pretty sure those canvas walls and ceiling were simply draped over some pipes in a basement somewhere.

Second, the way I rate these is based on whether I liked them and how much. Generally, one star means I hated it, two stars means I didn’t like it, three stars means I liked it or I thought it was okay, four stars means I really liked it, and five stars means I thought it was great. I’m a pretty easy grader, since I’ve never given a movie one star and only a few have received two stars. Most films have gotten three or fours stars, while a few have earned five.

Just because I give a movie three stars, doesn’t mean it’s a good movie. Electronic Lover was a bad movie, with cheap set and props, a shitty plot (calling it a plot is a stretch). However, I expected it to be bad and it met these expectations, so I liked it a bit. If you see a movie based on how many stars it earned here… well, caveat emptor.
