I’m a slacker, pt 2

Well, after much consideration of my procrastination, I decided to go back and run some standard blog software. First, I went to HotScripts, and I checked som of them out there, but I also found a site called OpenSourceCMS, which even goes so far as to let you try out the differnt kinds of blog software before putting too much effort into it.
One thing that confused me at first was they had a section for “blogs” and a section for “portals”. PHP-Nuke and such were listed as “portals,” but b2 is listed under “blogs.” I read the FAQ which said that blogs were more oriented towards personal sites, kind of like an online journal in a way. Portals are geared more towards news oriented sites, such as Slashdot and Fark.
I may still do some work on Chai, especially considering some of the other “blog” software out there looks very easy. I mean, even atthe current level, Chai is at least as good as some of the more basic blog software. However, at the moment, I’m still a slacker ;-)
